Hi, I ‘m Whitney - so glad you’re here!

A little backstory- You know that kid who was always making things, painting & drawing and in general a little extra creative, with her head in the clouds? Yep, that was me! I was the kid with all the crayons, scavenging nature for inspiration & looking for a way to create something out of nothing. Yes, I always wanted to be an artist and in truth, I’ve always been one, it just took some time to realize it.

I’m an Artist, Teacher, Encourager of Creative Play, Interior Designer, and Joy Seeker making art and sharing all I know to inspire you to do the same. Art is my center, my gravity and balance. Art heals, soothes and helps us focus and fit into this world where we can create an inspired life- one full of joy, color, creativity & curiosity with freedom to express ourselves, without judgement (even our own) and I want to share that with you! The art, classes, connection and conversations you’ll find here are about nurturing, being heard and bringing freedom & joy to your life, whether that’s through making art, collecting it or beautifying your space with it.

We need more creativity and more art- real, free, messy, colorful, joyful art. So I work towards that goal from my studio in Santa Cruz, California, taking inspiration from nature and am heavily influenced by the ocean & moving water. I have my AA in Art & Humanities and my Bachelor’s in Interior Design and I’ve been painting and showing my art for well over a decade. I’m a member of the Visual Arts Network through the Arts Council Santa Cruz & I love participating in art shows, galleries, arranging personal studio visits and opening my studio to the public at Open Studios every year.
